Directions to the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies by car, bus and train.
The entrance to the Centre is on Iffley Road, Oxford, opposite the University Sports Ground. We are housed in The Song School, accessed through the grounds of St John the Evangelist Church.
Parking in Oxford is very difficult. It is better to ‘Park & Ride’. Thornhill ‘Park and Ride’ car-park is very convenient for the Centre. Catch a bus from there and alight at St Clement’s. If you do come to the Centre by car, there is a Pay and Display car park behind the Tesco supermarket on Cowley Road: enter it via Union Street.
Take any bus from the High Street that is going up Iffley Road or Cowley Road. Alight at the James Street Stop on either road. On Iffley Road this stop is directly outside the Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies; from Cowley Road, take a right-hand turn through Marston Street or James Street to the Iffley Road. The Centre is on Iffley Road, between Marston Street and James Street.
Bus services (Oxford Tube and X90) from London run about every fifteen minutes during the day. Buses go from, among other places, Victoria Station, Marble Arch, Notting Hill, Shepherd’s Bush and Hillingdon. Once you reach Oxford, disembark at St Clement’s. The Centre for Muslim-Christian Studies is a few minutes’ walk from there.
Take a train to Oxford Station. From there, Oxford Bus Company bus number 3 runs from Oxford Railway Station across Oxford to Iffley Road. Alight at the James Street stop. The bus stops immediately in front of the signboard for CMCS. Alternatively you can catch Oxford Bus Company bus number 5 from the station and travel up the Cowley Road alight at the Cowley Road James Street stop and walk through James Street or Marston Street to the Iffley Road. The Song School is on Iffley Road, between Marston Street and James Street.
